DANE COUNTY PUBLIC LAND SURVEY MONUMENT RECORD
This record shall show the location of the corner and shall include all of the following nine elements (a
through j).
(a) CORNER LOCATION MARK CORNER LOCATION
SECTION NUMBER: 15
TOWNSHIP 05 NORTH, RANGE 10 EAST
15 -0
DANE COUNTY COORDINATES
NORTHING: 418,074.13
EASTING: 846,432.30
HORIZONTAL DATUM &ADJUSTMENT: NAD 83(NSRS 2011) DANE COUNTY
ORTHOMETRIC HEIGHT: 891.09 VERTICAL DATUM: (NAVD 88)
(b) Describe any record evidence, monument evidence, occupational evidence, testimonial evidence or
any other material evidence you considered, and whether the monument was found or placed.
A 3/4" Iron Rebar was located within a grassed ditch between two fields. One reference tie was located from
the previous monument record by Schneeberger. The previous monument record notes a 3/4" Iron rebar was
found and replaced with a Dane County monument. CSM's 7323 and 12065 along with a plat of survey no.
2006-00912 all refer to the corner as being an aluminum monument. The distances to the adjacent section
corners match check very well with the previous distances shown on the existing monument record and
existing surveys. No reference to the removal of the section corner and replacement with a 3/4" Iron rebar
was found. The 3/4" Iron Rebar was accepted as the location of the corner with reference to the existing tie
and the distances to the existing adjacent section corners. One additional reference monument was set and
the section corner was tied to other existing monuments.
(c) CORNER LOCATION SKETCH: In the sketch, provide reference ties to at least 4 witness monuments of
lasting durable material.
(d) The sketch shall include physical features surrounding the monument location sufficient to easliy find the
monument when in the general area, such as but not limited to utility poles, signs, trees, edge of forests or
cropland, field lanes, water bodies, pavement, buildings, etc. Sketch shall also indicate north and scale, and
include descriptions of symbols, in sketch or by legend.
N •
N.15°08'36"E. /I \
-4/1rS7Q 9.26' ILL
GRASS
M \
\ DITCH
S ION \
/AFIELD EDGE
0 10' 20' N.04°00'43'W 11 \,
15.17' \a.'
%%gm
'ata FIELD
\ \
FIELD
Iw \ \
IO \\S \
FIELD EDGE Im \c9.
LEGEND I^' \
3/4"IRON REBAR-SECTION CORNER \
\ \
FD.3/4"IRON BAR
0 SET 3/4"IRON REBAR
.25›, \\
- - \\
\\
CORNER IDENTIFICATION NUMBER 40510152000
