The location of <br /> the monument was as previously shown as an occupation line and along a treeline to the East, West and <br /> North. Three of the previous reference ties were recovered and checked well. One pipe as shown on the <br /> previous tie sheet by Doyle and two ties previously shown by Talarczyk were recovered. The location of the <br /> Dane County Monument stem was accepted based on verification of the existing ties and as used in previous <br /> surveys in the area.
