DANE COUNTY PUBLIC LAND SURVEY MONUMENT RECORD
This record shall show the location of the corner and shall include all of the following nine elements (a
through j).
(a) CORNER LOCATION MARK CORNER LOCATION
SECTION NUMBER: 36
TOWNSHIP 05 NORTH, RANGE 11 EAST
36
DANE COUNTY COORDINATES
NORTHING: 399,909.72
EASTING: 886,176.29
HORIZONTAL DATUM &ADJUSTMENT: NAD 83(NSRS 2011) DANE COUNTY
ORTHOMETRIC HEIGHT: 858.58 VERTICAL DATUM: (NAVD 88)
(b) Describe any record evidence, monument evidence, occupational evidence, testimonial evidence or
any other material evidence you considered, and whether the monument was found or placed.
A mushroomed 2" Iron Pipe was found approximately 14" below the existing grade in the middle of a field. The
area has been disturbed and the area is now completely a field. A large boulder was found below the existing
grade at the approximate distance south of the pipe. We measure 2.36' short of the distance between the
Southeast and Southwest quarter corners as shown on the original tie sheet by Northrop. The pipe falls 1.04'
East and 0.21' South of the split between our located Southeast and Southwest quarter corners. When
dividing the section using the found 2" pipe we match the section breakdown as shown on the Birrenkott CSM
No. 8537 very well. The location of the 2" Iron Pipe was accepted based on found evidence and the section
breakdown distances as shown on CSM No. 8537. Four reference ties were established near the buildings to
the east and tied to the corner.
(c) CORNER LOCATION SKETCH: In the sketch, provide reference ties to at least 4 witness monuments of
lasting durable material.
(d)The sketch shall include physical features surrounding the monument location sufficient to easliy find the
monument when in the general area, such as but not limited to utility poles, signs, trees, edge of forests or
cropland, field lanes, water bodies, pavement, buildings, etc. Sketch shall also indicate north and scale, and
include descriptions of symbols, in sketch or by legend.
N LEGEND
` 2"IRON PIPE-SECTION CORNER
W 'h/ E 0 SET 3/4"IRON REBAR
,T
S
o
100' 200'
FIELD
FIELD
TIE 7.5 WEST
TIE 4'NORTHWEST OF BARN SARN
OF SHED
N.88°59'31"E. 1081.94'
N.89°42'39"E. 965.96' slit
----__----- S.85°44_36"E_ 115007'
--
FIELD TIE 5 SOUTHWEST J TIE S'SOUTH
FIELD OF SHED OF FENCE CORNER
CORNER IDENTIFICATION NUMBER 40511360020
