U. S. PUBLIC LAND SURVEY MONUMENT RECORD INSTRUCTIONS : This record shall show the location of the corner and shall include all of the following nine elements (a through i ). (a) Identify the corner by reference to the U.S. public land survey system. Ron Williamson set a 2" iron pipe at this corner in 1983. I found his 2" iron pipe damaged due to a new fence being constructed. I replaced it with a 1 '-+"x30" rebar. The location matched one of his iron pipe ties and within 0.20 feet of a railroad spike recorded as being 8.70 feet Westerly in oak tree, I didn' t know how much the growth of the tree may have affected the distance. (c) In the plan view drawing below, provide reference ties to at least 4 witness monuments. Witness monuments shall be made of concrete, natural stone, iron or other equally durable material. Describe witness monuments found or placed.
