VOL 1 30 pag 8 <br />LAND CONTRAOT <br />THIS AGREEMENT made and concluded this 28th day of <br />August, 1937, by and between Piper Brothers Company$ a Wisconsin <br />corporations located at Madison, Wisconsin, and William Leslie <br />Gillette and Edna Hinkson Gillette, his wife$ VENDORS$ and <br />Michael Torphy of Madison$ Wisconsin$ PURCHASER* <br />WITNESSETH: <br />1. The purchaser hereby agrees and binds himself, his <br />legal representatives$ to pay or cause to be paid to the vendors$ <br />their legal representatives, heirs or assigns$ the sum of <br />Seven Hundred Twenty Five Dollars {725,00) in the manner <br />following,* the sum of $100.00 at the ensealing and delivery <br />hereof and the balance to be paid. by September is 1938, together <br />with interest thereon at the rate of 6% per annum on all unpaid <br />balances and in the payment of said sum the purchaser agrees to <br />pay the sum of $50.00 per month in addition to monthly interest <br />on the 1st day of each month, commencing with October 1, 1937 <br />until September 1, 19381 when the entire unpaid balance and <br />interest shall become due and payable as aforesaid. <br />2. The said payments are to be made to the vendors at <br />the office of riper Brothers Company at 114 East Mifflin Street, <br />Madison, Wisconsin$ and <br />3. The same being intended to apply, when fully completed$ <br />as the purchase money for the following described tracts situated <br />in the Town of Madison, County of Dane, State of Wisconsin$ to-- <br />wite Lot Twenty$ Block Ones Oak Park Subdivision$ the same being <br />a proposed plat, copy of which is in the office of Bull$ $cart <br />& Bieberstein$ and identified by writing thereon, to --wit: <br />"Verified August 28, 1937". The same to be conveyed subject to <br />the public rights of way in the existing highway and any highway <br />proposed in said plat, the same to be conveyed subject to <br />
