<br />2. For almost two years, we have been engaged with the Town of Madison and the Alexander Company to <br />develop the Southdale Neighborhood Plan. We have been meeting regularly, and this rezoning petition <br />has not come up in any of those meetings. Regardless, the Neighborhood Plan is not yet complete, and <br />thus, it is not possible to determine if the proposed uses are compatible with the yet unfinished <br />neighborhood plan. <br /> <br />For these reasons, I strongly urge you to reject Rezoning Petition #9900 and Conditional Use Permit #2076, and <br />that no future application be considered until such a time as (a) the Southdale Neighborhood Plan is completed <br />and approved; and, (b) a joint committee meets to decide on the application, pursuant to the Intergovernmental <br />Agreement. <br /> <br />I am unable to attend the meeting tomorrow night, however I hereby request that this letter be read into the <br />record and that the Zoning and Land Regulation Committee act accordingly.
