TOWN OF DUNN - 4156 COUNTY ROAD B, McFARLAND, WI 53558 Phone: (608) 838-1081 <br />Website: www.town.dunn.wi.us FAX: (608) 838-1085 <br />E-mail: townhall@town.dunn.wi.us <br />February 16, 2012 <br />Dane County Board of Adjustment <br />210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. <br />Madison, WI 53709 <br />RE: Appeal # 3630 by Tim and Chris Properties, LLC, Ryan Quam, agent <br />1924 Barber Drive <br />Dear Board Members, <br />At its February 14, 2012 meeting, the Town Board reviewed the above appeal and made the <br />following recommendation: <br />Motion Solheim/Greb to recommend approval to the Dane County Board of <br />Adjustment for Appeal 3630 by Tim and Chris Properties, LLC, Ryan Quam, agent, for <br />variances from minimum required lot width at the building setback line, minimum <br />required lot area, and setback from the ordinary high water mark for an existing <br />substandard platted lot in the Shoreland District, to permit removal and replacement of <br />a single-family residence proposed at 1924 Barber Drive. Motion carried conditioned <br />upon prevention of storm water runoff generated on this property from draining onto <br />neighboring properties. Discussion included that confirmation that the new home will <br />be set back further from the ordinary high water mark than both the existing home and <br />the average setback of the neighborhood. Mr. Quam proposed to mitigate stormwater <br />impacts from the increased impervious surface area with measures that include a rain <br />garden with a yard drain. The Town Board stated that the neighboring Town owned <br />property is serving a purpose for drainage and is an asset to the community; therefore <br />the Town is not interested in selling this property. <br />Sincerely, <br />Ben Kollenbroich <br />Administrative and Land Use Coordinator <br />
