Town of Sun Prairie <br />Regular Town Board Meeting <br />February 13, 2012 <br />Call to Order Chairperson L Updike called the regular meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, <br />5556 Twin Lane Road. Supervisors V Pogue and D Yelk, Clerk J Ramsfield, Treasurer C Yelk, and <br />Patrolman W Dorshorst were present. <br />Statement of Public Notice The chair directed that the minutes show notice of the meeting was <br />posted on the three town bulletin boards on February 10, 2012. <br />Pledge of Allegiance: J Ramsfield led the pledge. <br />Approve Minutes of Prior Meetings: Moved by V Pogue second by D Yelk to approve the minutes of <br />the February 13, 2012 Town Board Meeting as presented. <br />Voting AYE: Updike Pogue and Yelk <br />Voting Nay: none <br />Absent: none <br />Motion carried <br />Presentation from the Public: None <br />Road Report: <br />Consider/Take Action re: Statz Farms, T Statz - installation of irrigation tubing under roads Twin <br />Lane & Berlin: T Statz inquired as to what permits would be needed to install under the road <br />irrigation tubing to their fields. He described the fields that the proposed irrigation tubing would go <br />to and the installation process. After a short discussion the board instructed W Dorshorst to treat <br />the proposed sites like a driveway permit; $50 permit fee with $1000 escrow. T Statz was asked to <br />contact W Dorshorst when they know the exact site. W Dorshorst will give T Statz the specific <br />measurements required by the town at that time. No action needed. <br />Consider/Take Action re: Amend 2012 Fire Department Budget: The City of Sun Prairie would like to <br />undertake a pilot program of four full-time on-site fire fighters (day shift), the fire fighters would also <br />do fire safety inspections as part of their job. The pilot program will be paid for with capital fund <br />monies. There is no need to amend the Town of Sun Prairie 2012 budget at this time. No action <br />taken. <br />Consider/Take Action re: Variance for property at 2898 Burke Rd, S Freitag; buildings exceed 10% of <br />the lot area. Moved by D Yelk, second by V Pogue to support a variance for property at 2898 Burke <br />Rd, S Freitag; buildings exceed 10% of the lot area. <br />Voting AYE: Updike, Pogue and Yelk <br />Voting Nay: none <br />Absent: none <br />Motion carried <br />Audit/Pay Bills.
