These are the <br /> gentlemen in Dane County Zoning Division who assign the rural numbers. <br /> Please see the attached for your information. <br /> May I please ask the estimated cost of the farm sign? <br /> The Dane County Code of Ordinances (DCCO) may be found at the following world-wide link: <br /> http://danedocs.countyofdane.com/webdocs/pdf/ordinances/ord010.pdf. <br /> Section 10.74 of the DCCO states the following: <br /> (11) Farm signs shall have a maximum size of 32 square feet and be erected to a height not to exceed 8 feet. <br /> Such signs shall be located not less than .25 miles from other signs and not more than 1 mile from the site <br /> advertised on the sign. <br /> May I please ask what is the proposed height of the sign from the ground below the sign to the top of the sign? <br /> Also,please verify that your proposed sign is not less than 0.25 miles from other signs. <br /> Section 10.72 of the DCCO states the following: <br /> (10) Farm signs are permitted in the following zoning districts: A-1 Agriculture, A-1 Exclusive Agriculture, ... . <br /> Section 10.73 of the DCCO states the following: <br /> (20) Logos may contain only the emblem or name of the business located on the same property or, on farm and <br /> crop signs, the name or emblem of the business sponsoring the signs. Logos may not be larger than 25% of the <br /> sign copy area and shall be included within said copy area. <br /> (16) Farm signs are limited to on premise signs identifying a farm by its name or by the farmer's name and may <br /> contain additional historical information such as date of founding or century farm designation or name or logo <br /> of the sign sponsor. <br /> 1 <br />
