DANE COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT <br /> ///9\ <br /> 4000 International Lane Madison, WI 53704 P: 608 • 246 • 3380 F: 608 • 246 • 3385 msnairport.com <br /> January ,., <br /> ary 8, 2015 �-` <br /> Scott Schroeckenthaler DANE <br /> Zoning Inspector COUNTY <br /> REGIONAL <br /> Dane County Zoning Division A I R P O R T <br /> Department of Planning and Development M A D I S O N <br /> Room 116, City-County Building <br /> Madison, WI 53703 <br /> Re: Permit Application under §78.06 Dane County Ordinance <br /> Crane Galaxie <br /> 43-04-54.36 N 89-22-29.21 W <br /> Dear Mr. Schroeckenthaler: <br /> Below are the conditions the Airport requests the Zoning Administrator establish for <br /> issuance of the permit. <br /> CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO CRANE GALAXIE CONSTRUCTION CRANE <br /> PERMIT: <br /> (1) Applicant shall comply with all conditions and recommendations set forth in the <br /> Determination Letter regarding Federal Aviation Administration Aeronautical Study <br /> No. 2014-AGL-13335-OE. <br /> (2) Prior to erecting the construction crane, applicant shall provide Timothy W. <br /> Butcher, Director of Operations and Public Safety, Dane County Regional Airport <br /> (office: 608.246.3392, cell: 608.235.6417), with the name and telephone number of <br /> an individual(s) having authority over operation and placement of the crane while it <br /> is on the construction site and, upon request, shall arrange a meeting between <br /> Airport staff and the contractor that will be operating the crane. <br /> (3) Applicant shall, at least three days before the crane height will reach 1,023 feet <br /> MSL, provide notice to Director Timothy W. Butcher. <br /> (4) At all times the highest point of the crane shall be marked during daylight hours <br /> with an orange and white checkered construction flag measuring at least three feet <br /> by three feet, and with a red obstruction light, with a minimum intensity of 32.5 <br /> candela, from two hours before sunset until two hours after sunrise and during <br /> periods of reduced visibility. All requirements from FAA Advisory Circular 70/7460- <br /> 1 K shall be adhered to during the time the crane is extended. <br /> (5) Neither the construction crane nor any equipment or other items attached to, or <br /> used to erect the crane, except the above described the flag and light, shall at any <br /> time exceed a height of 1,023 feet MSL. <br />
