r Water Resource Engineering Division
, .', Dane County Land&Water Resources Department
pki cei— Jeremy Balousek,P.E.,Division Manager
DATE: February 25, 2015
TO: Randy& Lynn Peters
FROM: Jason Tuggle Jason rtea:.-gym
Urban Erosion Control Analyst Tugglem„n,„a„
RE: Lot 57 Drumlin Creek—Shoreland Erosion Control Plan, SE2015-0030
(Associated Shoreland Mitigation Permit MG2015-0031)
The submitted shoreland erosion control plan meets the needs of the site. The plan includes the
following requirements:
1. The site will be accessed from Esker Trail using a stone tracking pad. The tracking pad
must be a minimum of 50' long x 24' wide x 12” deep and be constructed of 3-inch clear
stone. The access must be maintained in a manner that prevents material from reaching
public roads. Any material tracked onto public roads must be removed immediately and
the access controls must be improved prior to resuming construction traffic.
2. Silt fence must be installed prior to grading in the locations shown on the plan including
down slope of all soil stockpiles. The silt fence must be maintained until the site is
permanently stabilized.
3. Grading must be confined to the areas shown on the plan. Disturbed areas within 5' of the
property line must be returned to pre-construction grades. No material storage, vehicle
traffic or grading may occur outside the limits of disturbance on the plan. In the event any
of these areas are disturbed, additional erosion control measures will be required.
4. The plan includes a construction schedule as follows:
Excavation and grading is scheduled to begin on or around March 3, 2015.
Disturbed areas must be temporarily covered with straw mulch within 30-days of
initial disturbance. The mulch must be maintained to provide at least 70%
coverage until disturbed areas are permanently restored.
All disturbed areas must be permanently restored, as noted in the plan, by July 4,
2015.
Construction must be done in accordance with the approved plan and schedule. This permit will
expire on the stabilization date included in the plan (July 4,2015) and may be amended
prior to permit expiration only.
