rod -+ c
Andros, Pamela 5741 /2...e31.44 P.44 .
From: Roll, Rick <RRoll @cityofmadison.com>
Sent: Tuesday, May 13, 2014 3:05 PM
To: Andros, Pamela
Subject: RE: Rezone in the town of Blooming Grove
Hi Pam,
City has staff reviewed the information you emailed regarding the proposed rezone at 3527 Femrite Drive. This property
is located within the South Phased Attachment area as defined in the June 2006 Town of Blooming Grove and City of
Madison Cooperative Plan Under Section 66.037, Wisconsin Statutes. Lands within the South Phased Attachment Area
may be attached to the City of Madison in 2020 per the terms of the Cooperative Plan. At the time of attachment all city
ordinances (including zoning) shall apply to the subject property. The City of Madison Comprehensive Plan recommends
"employment" uses on the subject property. Permanent City zoning will be placed on the property after attachment.
In order to ensure that the proposed use complies with the planned employment use for the subject property, the City
of Madison requests the following restrictions be placed on the property at the time of the proposed rezone:
1. The list of allowable uses be limited to only the following uses: major repairs to motor vehicles; accessory parking or
storing of motor vehicles; woodworking shops; and machine shops. No sales uses shall be permitted.
2. Billboards shall be prohibited on the subject property. As required in the Cooperative Plan, all new or replacement
signs, billboards or street graphics ("sign") shall comply with the restrictions of the Madison Street Graphics Control
Ordinance, Chapter 31, Madison General Ordinances and with the applicable Dane County sign regulations.
3. The applicant shall be advised that at such time as the subject property attaches to the City of Madison, City zoning
regulations shall apply. At that time, the property shall comply with all City zoning requirements for any existing and
future uses on the property. Upon attachment into the City, the property will be zoned into a temporary agricultural
zoning district. The property will ultimately be rezoned into a final zoning district.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this rezone request.
Rick Roll
Planner IV
City of Madison
From: Andros, Pamela [mailto:Andros@countyofdane.com]
Sent: Wednesday, May 07, 2014 12:48 PM
To: Roll, Rick
Subject: Rezone in the town of Blooming Grove
Hi Rick,
Please take a look at the attached rezone in the town of Blooming Grove. It is going from C-1 to C-2 and I would like to
add a condition that it be restricted only to its current use (including storage of vehicles). Right now the staff comments
are Roger's but I will update them.
Please let me know what the City would like to see noted.
