I
or yl
'' f `' Dane County a
ou y P 1 nning & Development
Ivo
sacoNi= Zoning Division
April 20,2015
Pamela Wolter
3985 Mahoney Road
McFarland, WI 53558
Location:3985 Mahoney Road
Parcel#: 0610-161-8030-1
Location of Shed
Dear Ms. Wolter,
The Dane County Zoning Division has identified an issue with an existing shed during a review of a zoning
petition on a neighboring property. It appears that the 30'x60 agricultural shed that was constructed in 2008
is encroaching on the neighboring property. See attached aerial photo. The shed, as noted under Zoning
Permit ZP-2008-0607,was to be located 10 feet away from the property.
This letter serves as notice that the 30'x60' shed partially located at 3985 Mahoney Road in the Town of
Dunn, Dane County, Wisconsin, is encroaching on the property at 3979 Mahoney Road and is consider in
violation with Dane County Code of Ordinance Section 10.04(1)(c), setbacks for agricultural accessory
building. The existing accessory building does not meet the required 10-foot setback from the property
line.
I have spoke to the neighboring property owner regarding this violation. He has informed me that he would
like to discuss this matter with you so that the violation could be corrected amicably. In order to correct the
issue, property lines may need to be relocated or the shed moved to a location that is in accordance with
Dane County Code of Ordinances.
The violation will be kept on file with the Dane County Zoning Division until such time as the matter is
resolved.
Respectfully,
Roger Lane
Dane County Zoning Administrator
CC: Scott Schroeckenthaler, Dane County Zoning Inspector
Erica Schmitz—Town of Dunn Land Use Manager
210 Martin Luther King Jr.Blvd.:City-County Bldg,Room 116•Madison,WI 53703-3342•Phone:608.266.4266•Fax:608.267.1540
H:\Zoning\Violations by Township\Dunn\Wolter,Section 16\3985 Mahoney Road-shed location.doc
Revision 03.18.2007
