The Dane County Department of Planning and Development provides density study reports for landowners and others to determine the future development potential of property under the Dane County Comprehensive Plan. This information is provided to you as a courtesy; no action is required by you. The Town of Vermont/Dane County Comprehensive Plan limits development to one home per 35 acres owned as of January 1, 1985. As of this date,your property was a 39.05-acre farm owned by Fred Curkeet and Jill Kittel. The existing home on the property appears to have been rezoned prior to 1985, so does not count against the town density cap. Under the policies of the Town of Vermont/Dane County Comprehensive Plan,this property be eligible for one additional residential homesite.. Any new home constructed here would first require approval of a rezone petition and a certified survey map,and must also comply with any siting criteria in the Town of Vermont Comprehensive Plan.
