We
strongly agree with the Plan Commission that that initiative should recognize actual and
proposed uses of the lands subject to the rezoning.
The zoning for the property owned by Swan You See, LLC located at 4225 Maple
Grove Drive, has been previously recommended by the Town board to be Commercial 2
with certain agreed upon limitations. We continue to believe that, consistent with its
adjacent properties, the property is appropriate for Commercial zoning, with the agreed
upon limitations and with a conditional use for agriculture..
In terms of its current agricultural use,the property is ill-suited for agricultural
use both because of its small 13 acre size (it was a remnant from the Highway 18/151
bypass project) and its poor and rocky soils. We have been very fortunate to find
someone who has been willing to plant the land for a measly$500 per year.
Once again, we greatly appreciate your attention to these important rezoning
matters and wholeheartedly support your recommendation that the Swan You See
property be rezoned to C-2 with the agreed upon restrictions and a conditional use for
agriculture. If we can help move this matter forward or if you need more information
1 /from us,please 1 u• know. t°4644€4444444
1// Harvey L. Temkin Barbara Myers Temkin
16612241
