Hilbert, Hans
From: Hilbert, Hans
Sent: Tuesday, December 30, 2014 10:16 AM
To: Violante,Todd; Nebel, Rob
Subject: RE: Fiber/Conduit Plan for Crossroads Site
Rob,
Typically addresses are assigned to buildings at the time a zoning permit is obtained, but given the nature of
this development I'd like to work out a master address plan at this time. There are a few approaches to how we
address this site. The first is the simplistic approach and give the entire site one address off of County
Highway AB, and then subaddress each building with a building number or letter. Another option would be to
give each building a unique street number. In this scenario I would definitely address the Sheriff facility off of
CTH AB,and Highway off of Luds Ln and Medical Examiner facilities could go either way,but it appears the
primary access is from Luds Ln.
There are also all the Highway accessory buildings such as the fuel pumps,CNG, and various storage
buildings. In my opinion it doesn't make sense to assign a rural address to a salt shed, I'd be more in favor of
giving the Highway area one address and let them put up building numbers if they need to,but I can assign
street numbers just as easily.
Let me know what you had in mind and I'll see what I can come up with.
Hans
From: Violante,Todd
Sent: Monday, December 29, 2014 12:07 PM
To: Nebel, Rob; Hilbert, Hans
Cc: Myren,Travis; Mandli, Jerry; Lane, Roger
Subject: RE: Fiber/Conduit Plan for Crossroads Site
Rob,
Sorry to not get back to you until today; I had been out of the office.
Yes,we can help. I have copied Assistant Zoning Administrator Hans Hilbert in my reply: Hans oversees our addressing
function in the unincorporated areas of Dane County. Hans, would you mind contacting Rob directly to see how we can
help? Thanks very much.
Take care.
Todd
Todd A.
