• <br /> Sabota Deck Project Notes <br /> 1)Ledger to be mounted thru rim joist with 1/2" galvanized carriage bolts; length to be <br /> determined to give proper thread exposure (1/2" minimum). Ledger to be spaced 1/4" <br /> away from rim with galvanized hardware. Ledger also to be screwed into 90 degree joist <br /> spacers with Fastenmaster Ledgerlock screws. Carriage bolt mounting schedule: 2 bolts <br /> on ends, 2" in, 2" from top and 2" up from bottom and staggered in a "W" pattern every <br /> 16" with 5" max between rows. <br /> 2) Outer rims attached to ledger with Simpson LUSC210Z concealed hanger. <br /> 3) Inner 12' rims attached at ledger and at 10' inner rim with Simpson LUS210Z. <br /> 4)All joists attached with Simpson LUS210Z Hangers. <br /> 5) 31/2" treated spacers between inner and outer rims on 12' plane. <br /> 6) Intermediate posts secured with Fastenmaster Thrulock screws (length appropriate). <br /> 7) Corner posts secured with Fastenmaster Thrulock screws (length appropriate).Simpson <br /> DJT14Z added to outer 10' rim for added support. Attached with 8 16d galvanized nails. <br /> 8)Deck framing to slope 1/2" away from house. <br /> 9)All framing material is 2"x10" pressure treated-posts are 4"x4" pressure treated. Post <br /> to be secured to Simpson ABA44 post bases with #9x11/2" Simpson Strongdrive screws. <br /> 10) All Fastenmaster hardware to be installed per manufacturer's directions. <br />
