Box 1
Cambridge, WI 53523 Zoning
g (608)266-4266,Rm. 116
(delivereO via email)
Dear Mike,
Attached is a density study report you requested for property owned by the Susan Leslie Estate in
section 22 of the Town of Dunkirk. The property is located in the town's Agricultural Preservation Area,
within which the density of residential development is limited to no more than one dwelling unit (a/k/a
"split") per 40 acres owned as of July 1, 1979. The property was owned by the Leslie family and totaled
approximately 60 "gross" acres as of 7/1/79.
Under the town's density policy, there is one (1) possible split, or "density unit", available to the property
for nonfarm development.
Please rote that this density analysis does not preclude or guarantee town or county approval of a
particular land division, rezone, or development proposal. The Town of Dunkirk Plan Commission and
Board of Supervisors review all applications to rezone, and apply interpretations, standards and criteria
as set forth in the town land use plan to guide their decisions. Such standards include considerations for
soil type environmental features, site characteristics, compatibility with neighboring uses, proposed
length and location of driveways and utility extensions, and proposed lot size and location. In addition,
all rezones are subject to Town Board, County Board, and County Executive approval. .
If you have any questions about this density analysis, please contact me by phone at 267-2536, or by
email at allana.countyofdane.com.
Sincerely,
Majid Allan
Senior Planner
cc: Melanie Huchthausen, Clerk, Town of Dunkirk (by email)
