Town of Montrose <br /> Regular Board Minutes <br /> May 6, 2014, 8:00 p.m. <br /> Meeting was called to order by Chair Roger Hodel at 8:00 p.m. <br /> Clerk stated for the record that notice had been posted according to Open Meeting Laws. <br /> Present: Chair Roger Hodel, Supervisors Dan Palmer and Randy Francois,Treasurer Jody Gerner, Clerk Julie <br /> Bigler, Land Use Chair John Sayles and Long Range Planning Chair Bill Warner <br /> Visitors: None <br /> Motion made by Dan Palmer,seconded by Randy Francois and made unanimous by Roger Hodel to <br /> approve April 8,2014 Board Minutes as corrected and read. Motion carried. <br /> Motion made by Randy Francois, seconded by Dan Palmer and made unanimous by Roger Hodel to <br /> approve April Treasurer Report as read and pay all bills. Motion carried <br /> The Town of Montrose wishes to extend condolences to the families of Sonny Neath and Quinn Quirk. Roger <br /> has talked to Pat Downing regarding the suggestion that the wildlife area be named Montrose Sugar River <br /> Wildlife Area. The area has been named Falk Wells Wildlife Area. Roger also talked to Pat regarding the <br /> driveway permit. The permit was applied and paid for but has not been picked up and/or issued. Roger took <br /> Nicholas Alexander on a tour of the township to find suitable areas for his film that will take place in Montrose. <br /> Roger has received phone calls regarding the new bill SB509 (2013 Wis. Act 377) that was signed on April 23, <br /> 2014. This new law is a compromise allowing Implements of Husbandry (IOHs). Discussion was held on <br /> what, if anything, the town can or would do if problems come up. Suggestions were to put a very high limit, <br /> continue as the town has and address any problems as the occur, and/or work with the residents about the new <br /> law. <br /> John Sayles presented a preliminary view of the driveway in Basco using Access Dane. <br /> Craig Kamholz, JMB Insurance Group LLC was unable to attend tonight's meeting. He will attend the June <br /> meeting to give an update on the Town's insurance <br /> Motion made by Dan Palmer, seconded by Randy Francois and made unanimous to approved the request <br /> by Donald and Marie Pauli to Rezone 22.9 acres of lands in Section 9 along Observatory Road of the <br /> Town of Montrose from A-1 Ex. to Rural Home, for the purpose of creating three home sites. Motion <br /> carried. John Sayles stated the 22.9 acres has not been farmed and this request meets Land Use criteria. The <br /> driveway will have to be addressed to avoid a blind driveway. There is a possibility of a shared driveway. The <br /> Land Use Committee recommends approval. <br /> Bill Warner reported there will be an annual meeting of the Boundary Committee with the Village of Belleville <br /> in June. <br /> Motion made by Randy Francois, seconded by Dan Palmer and made unanimous by Roger Hodel to <br /> approve new computers for Town Clerk and Town Treasurer.
