Please let me know if these conditions meet with your approval.
Thank you,
Cindy
Cindy Bluske
LaCrosse Sign Co.
Phone: 608-781-1450
Fax: 608-781-1451
cindyblacrossessign.com
cindybsignstatement.com
From: Widish, Shawn [mailto:Widish.shawn @co.dane.wi.us]
Sent: Friday, September 11, 2009 9:09 AM
To: Widish, Shawn; Cindy Bluske
Subject: RE: Changes to Kwik Trip sign at 7587 Mineral Pt. Rd.
Cindy,
Just following up....as mentioned the sign will need to meet the 5' (five foot)
setback from the right of way light and once we have your revised drawing
showing the trim versus the copy area to be less than 200 sq ft, it would comply
with the size restrictions.
The one additional condition that will be placed on the sign is that"electronic
signs may be used only to advertise activities conducted or goods and services
available on the property on which the signs are located or to present public
service information. Electronic signs may not display a message for less than
one-half of a second and may not repeat a message at intervals of less than 2
seconds. A traveling message may not travel slower than 16 light columns per
second nor faster than 32 light columns per second." This is consistent with
10.73(15) of the code of ordinance.
Once these parameters are set, we should be good to go as far as issuing the
permit.
Let me know if there are additional questions.
Shawn
Original Message
From: Widish, Shawn
Sent: Thursday, September 10, 2009 1:22 PM
To: 'Cindy Bluske'
Cc: Widish, Shawn
Subject: RE: Changes to Kwik Trip sign at 7587 Mineral Pt. Rd.
Cindy,
Based upon the information below there are a couple of items that will
need to be addressed. The first, if the copy area is greater than 200 sq ft
then the speed limit would need to be greater than 45 mph. I apologize
that I may not have been clear originally. As well the distance from the
right-of-way needs to be a minimum of 5'.
I did not find a permit for the original sign? If you or your client has the
permit number I could take a look at why it is today "non-conforming".
4/9/2010
