Horeb, WI 53572 (608)266-4251,Rm.116 <br /> RE: Private Drive Addressing Issue Zoning <br /> (608)266-4266,Rm. 116 <br /> Dear Mr. & Mrs. Wenger, <br /> Dane County Zoning Division has identified an issue regarding the addressing of homes <br /> along your private drive fronting County Highway J. As you are aware, a new single- <br /> family home site was created between your home and the Bartell residence. All three <br /> properties have a shared private driveway. <br /> The past assignment of numbers did not anticipate the future development of a home site <br /> between the Wenger home (5550) and the Bartell home (5548). In order to have <br /> consecutive numbers along the private drive, it appeared that one of the numbers of the <br /> existing residences would need to change to allow for an even numbered address to be <br /> assigned between them. <br /> To avoid changes to existing residences, it has been determined that the following <br /> provision will be necessary in assigning address numbers to accurately identify home sites <br /> for emergency personnel. <br /> Address signs shall be placed at the intersection of the common drive path to identify the <br /> drives for individual homes. Your home will remain being addressed as 5550 County <br /> Highway J and the new home site will be assigned the address or 5552 County Highway J. <br /> Homeowners for these home sites will be responsible for placing address number placards <br /> at the intersection of their individual drive location. Please see the attached map.
