CUP 1534 Rookie's Food &Spirits,LLC(Bill Montelbano,agent), <br /> Mazomanie 15 <br /> Conditional Use Permit for Recreational Facilities Affiliated with a Permitted Use and <br /> Lighted at Night <br /> This 1.18 acre parcel was rezoned to B-1 in 1997 to allow expansion of the existing tavern,Rookie's <br /> (Pet 6929, effective 07/28/1997.) Since that time,Rookie's owner, Steve Schmidt,has developed"a <br /> small version of a baseball park...not intended for organized softball"in the rear yard. It is <br /> occasionally used with"whiffle balls and bats...by adults and their children." Schmidt states that"the <br /> field is complimentary to the family friendly image the owners wish to project." It is also"about 10 <br /> feet lower than USH 14...lessening its visual impact"from the road. The field is lit year-round, but not <br /> used in winter. <br /> REGIONAL PLANNING <br /> CUP 1534. This site has had a tavern use for many years with rezoning for expansion in 1997. <br /> The CUP for lighted outdoor activities should be similar to those applied to other tavern uses, such as: <br /> - Hours of operation <br /> - Direction of lighting <br /> - Noise level controls <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH (septic, etc.) <br /> DANE COUNTY HIGHWAY <br /> OTHER <br />
