TOWN OF VIENNA
Office of the Clerk(608) 846-3800
5270 Norway Grove Road;DeForest, WL 53532
September 28, 1998
Dane County Zoning Department
Attn: Mr. Norhert Scribner
City-County Building/Rm 116
210 Martin Luther King Jr., Blvd
Madison,Wisconsin 53709
Re: Town of Vienna request for a change of building deed restrictions from Town of Vienna
Parcel No.32-0909 262-9001-9 to Parcel No.32-0909 262-9540-7
Dear Mr. Scribner,
The Town of Vienna Board and Plan Committee met on September 28, 1998. One item on the
agenda for that meet was a request to remove building deed restrictions from Parcel No.
32-090-262-9001-9 to allow the owner of the parcel to build a private residence for his own use.
The parcel was previously deed restricted by the Town of Vienna when the previously existing
building and land was removed from the existing parcel to form Parcel No.32-0909-262-9210-6.
The new owner of this parcel also purchased the adjoining parcel, No.32-0909 262-9540-7 to
add to his existing farm operation in the Town of Vienna. The new owner, his brothers etc.,
currently farm approximately 600 acres which are adjoining or close to these parcels. The
Vienna Town Plan would allow a residence to be built on Parcel No.32 0909-262-9540-7, as
that parcel has remained un-split since the adoption of the Vienna Land Division Ordinance.
The owner has requested that the deed restriction from building be transferred from this
parcel to the parcel behind it, and which is less suitable to building without major disruption
to the existing farm operation.
The Town of Vienna Board and Plan Committee support this request for the transfer of the
deed restriction for the following reasons:
1) Transfer of the deed restriction will not increase the number of parcels for building, as
