Millar lives in the house <br /> and operates Millar Grain Service on the premises. The business use is described as"primarily <br /> parking of semi trucks used for hauling grain and liquid fertilizer." Millar also wishes to construct a <br /> fairly large"garage to hose and clean the equipment." Under Section 10.121,the A-B District permits <br /> "(2)(b) Sales, distribution,mixing,blending, and storage of feed,seeds and fertilizer"; (2)(c) <br /> Livestock and farm commodity trucking services"and; and(2)(g)Residential use for an owner of the <br /> business." <br /> REGIONAL PLANNING <br /> Petition 7391. This existing rural residential site is proposed to be an agribusiness site for trucks <br /> hauling agricultural materials. <br /> This is an agricultural preservation area in the Town of Albion where the relevant town/county policy <br /> for agribusiness allows for agribusiness so long as it does not result in environmental degradation, <br /> conflict with farming or adversely affect the rural character of the town. <br /> In keeping with the policy,there may need to be conditions on the rezoning to limit the trucking <br /> business, since other A-B permitted uses could conflict. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH (septic. etc.1 <br /> Consideration should be given to requiring the installation of an industrial waste holding tank to <br /> provide for the capture and proper disposal of wastes related to washing/cleaning equipment as <br /> proposed. <br /> DANE COUNTY HIGHWAY <br /> None <br /> OTHER <br />
