The owners wish to add 37 acres"to <br /> accommodate both the immediate and long-term needs of the cemetery." A one-acre portion in the NE <br /> corner of the rezone area would be used for a storage area and site of a proposed maintenance shed,to <br /> be built as soon as the CUP is effective. Preliminary plans are being developed for a mausoleum in the <br /> SE corner of the rezone area,near CTH BB,to be constructed"perhaps as early as next year." About <br /> 6 acres of the remaining land are wooded; "[t]he area of the[p]ropery that is able to be farmed is <br /> leased by Highland to a third party for farming of corn." These uses will continue. "[At] some point <br /> in the future Highland does intend to develop the remainder of the Property for burial space", with no <br /> specific timetable for expansion. <br /> Soils: 70%Class I-II, 30%Class III <br /> Uses: 85%Cropland, 15%Woodland <br /> REGIONAL PLANNING <br /> Petition 7371 —CUP 1522. Pending further comments at the public hearing,this petition appears <br /> reasonably consistent with adopted plan policies. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH (septic, etc.) <br /> DANE COUNTY HIGHWAY <br /> CTH"BB"is a controlled access highway.
