e
TOWN OF WINDSOR
C [f..2)
4084 MUELLER ROAD * DEFOREST, WI 53532 * PHONE (608) 84:' * (V ; 77;
I I r.__...d___t. I E Di,
MEMORANDUM SEP 1 5 1998 1 U
D.C. PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT
To: Ron Klaas ZONING DIVISION
From: Jim Bricker, Business Manage!•\
Date: September 11, 1998
RE: September 17, 1998 Town Board Agenda request
1) While I'm aware that the Plan Commission has discussed the topic of land use and
traffic routing, I am un-aware that they reached a conclusion. The Town Board has
directed that the commission formulate a neighborhood plan and official map for this
area and I doubt the Board will contemplate an approval action until this is done. You
and I both know that this requires a specific statutory/administrative process with
notice and public hearing before adoption. You and your client should know better
than to ask the Town to ignore a required legal process.
2) Again, the issue of a 1500' cul-de-sac is part and parcel related to the traffic
circulation issue and therefore the neighborhood plan. (Please re-read paragraph 1).
I have yet to be convinced that it is in the public interest to have a cul-de-sac that is
over one-quarter of a mile long in an industrial area. It is simply bad planning. Your
argument that emergency apparatus would negotiate through the parking lots of the
industrial uses along this street is spurious.
(continued)
