The complaint stated that two decks were constructed without an issued <br /> Dane County Zoning Permit. A site inspection was conducted on September. It was observed that a new front yard <br /> and side yard deck have been constructed without a zoning permit. <br /> Under Dane County Code of Ordinance section 10.25 ADMINISTRATION,ENFORCEMENT AND <br /> PENALTIES. (1)Zoning administrator. (2)Zoning permits. (a)No new building shall hereafter be erected, and no <br /> existing building shall be added to, structurally altered, moved or changed in use, nor shall any nonconforming <br /> building be repaired or restored, in any district, until a zoning permit has been issued, except as otherwise provided <br /> by law or ordinance. <br /> Per Sec. 10.01(71)Building footprint. The entire area of ground covered by a structure, expressed in square feet, <br /> including appurtenances such as, but not limited to, balconies, porches,decks, stoops, fireplaces,and chimneys. <br /> This letter serves as notice that your property at 6650 Greenbriar Road in violation of the ordinance. No zoning <br /> permit has been issued or posted for a new deck construction. <br /> You are hereby instructed to apply for a zoning permit within 10 days of the date of this letter. When corrected, <br /> please contact the Zoning Department at(608)266-9084 so that the corrections can be verified. <br /> In addition, Section 12.03 (2) For additions to or alterations of existing single family, duplex and mobile home <br /> residences,and for buildings accessory to single family, duplex and mobile home residences,the fee shall be <br /> $50.00 plus$0.075 for each square foot of added floor area, including basements and attached garages. Late Filing <br /> Fee: Where work has begun before a permit has been obtained the fee shall be doubled. <br />
