Our records
indicate that there is an area on the 12 acre parcel intended for a new dwelling which is suitable for
a mound system. This office is aware that the plans for the mound have been approved by the
Wisconsin Department of Commerce. A sanitary permit will be issued when the application is
submitted along with the approved plans. The owner has indicated that he prefers to wait until
spring to actually obtain the permit due to the amount of the permit fee.
We also discussed the Tiedemann property at the corner of Amenda and Beckman Road. The Town
of Mazomanie Building inspector has provided a written opinion that the use of the structure on that
premises does not require a toilet facility per the state building code. Therefore a privy is allowable.
I have discussed this with Todd Tiedeman, and provided him with all of the necessary forms to
obtain a privy permit from this office. He indicated that he preferred to record the necessary
documents for the privy at the same time he records the documents relating to the re-zoning of these
properties.
In summary, there does not appear to be any obstacles to obtaining a sanitary permit for a code
complying private sewage system on either of the identified properties once the properly completed
permit applications are submitted. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 242-6515
between the hours of 7:45 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Sincerely,
)
/ James P.
