COMPOSITE REPORT - Page 2 APPLICATION NO. <br /> STAFF COMMENTS <br /> ZONING REVIEW <br /> 48. CUP 1519 Middleton Community Church(Barbara Weber,Building Committee Co- Chair), <br /> Middleton 20&21 <br /> CUP for Religious Use in A-1 Agriculture district <br /> Middleton Community Church, affiliated with the United Church of Christ,wishes to build a new <br /> church building for its 400 member congregation. The CUP area is described as 20 acres of a 23.66 <br /> acre CSM lot which currently is used for agriculture. The land where the church will be built is <br /> currently leased and planted in corn. There is a small daily farm in the SW corner of the CSM, <br /> including a house,barn, etc. The house and 0.46 acres were previously rezoned to R-1 (#2447, 1980- <br /> -no CSM). The congregation"has an agreement allowing the former owners to continue to reside and <br /> operate their small dairy farm on approximately 5 acres." <br /> The architectural design of the church will"be compatible with the rural character of the <br /> area." Uses of the building include worship,schoolrooms, offices, etc. Outdoor uses would include <br /> "programs,picnics,or other similar activities." There will be a full-time pastor, and 6 part-time <br /> employees,using the building from 8AM-3PM weekdays with one Sunday service at 9:30AM; other <br /> church functions and special services will be scheduled as needed. <br /> REGIONAL PLANNING <br /> CUP 1519.
