I have
come to understand that while there is no setback requirement, the building must
not cross the C-1/A-1 boundary. In the interest of bringing this building into
compliance, we are requesting that our existing C-1 boundary be extended to
include the area surrounding the building. This would allow us to use this building
for any of our normal winery uses, without considering whether the use qualifies
as agricultural or commercial. The distinction between wine farming and wine
production is more technical than practical, Extending the C-1 area simplifies this
issue. I anticipate no noticeable change in the winery operation.
The Town of Roxbury Planning Commission has reviewed this request,
recommended approval, and the Roxbury Town board supports this request.
Thank you for your consideration.
Robert P.
