Request for <br /> B-1 and Recreational Zoning (RE-1) <br /> on Lands in the Town of Burke <br /> Dear Mr. Fleck: <br /> Cherokee Park, Inc. requests B-1 zoning on a portion of it's land east of <br /> Sherman Avenue in the Town of Burke. <br /> This land is described and shown on a separate map enclosed entitled <br /> "B-1 Parking Area, Town of Burke" and contains 2.085 acres of land. <br /> This request is for the purpose of permitting Cherokee to create additional <br /> parking for our golf and tennis facility. <br /> The proposed parking area map which is also enclosed, indicates this area <br /> will provide for approximately 64 parking spaces. <br /> Our current plans call for this area to be partially hidden from Sherman <br /> Avenue by the creation of a berm area and additional plantings. <br /> The second portion of our request is to obtain recreational zoning - I believe <br /> it's designated RE-1 - for an area located east of the St. Peter's Church <br /> parking area and north of Wheeler Road. <br /> The attached legal description and map is enclosed. <br /> This land is to be used, if the petition is granted, for a golf driving range, <br /> part of the Cherokee Golf Course recreational complex.
