I have presented preliminary responses to <br /> these comments belo . The response is organized into three main sections— <br /> Unnamed Navigable.tream, Wetlands, and Soils. <br /> Unnamed Navi t able .tream <br /> For clarification,the i 'butaries that exist on the Bradt site are not likely to ever <br /> have supported a w. -water or cold-water sport fishery. Although they may <br /> certainly be capable u f supporting a warm-water forage fishery currently or in <br /> the future. In additio i it appears that at least portions of these streams were <br /> ,so historically created b dredging to drain wetlands on the site and on adjacent <br /> ti VA 3 <br /> sites for agricultural se. <br /> The staff comment r:.orts includes a brief listing of the problems within the <br /> Lower Rock River .tershed. These problems include habitat loss, <br /> 14`-. 4 = sedimentation, and -rural and hydraulic flow impacts, caused by non-point <br /> source pollution,we and drainage, and shoreline erosion.
