Motion carried 5,0,0. <br /> Agenca Item: Extraterillotial Juris+fiction • <br /> Mark Sponem, representa ive of Bradt Fa s, Inc. presented the plans for the rezoning of <br /> approximately 105 acres c urrently zoned e. clusively as Al. The plan included <br /> approximately 72 acres to be zoned as re.eational use, another 29 acres to be changed <br /> from Al to A2, and a smal area to be cha ged from light commercial and residential to <br /> Business.Approval from C ane county, an• permits from the DNR have been obtained. <br /> Motion by Dahl,second*d by Jones to pprove the extraterritorial jurisdiction for <br /> the addition to Cottage(rove(Door C =-k)Golf Course. Motion carries 5-0-0. <br /> Agenda Item: Hvdrite sign relocation <br /> Jim Barnhill was present as a represents e from Hydrite. The previously requested <br /> drawings,with dimensions have now been submitted. <br /> Motion by Jones,seconi led by Thunstr..m to approve the relocation of the Hydrite <br /> sign as submitted.Motic n carries 5-0-0. <br /> Agenda Item: Discussion on econ „" •_ :-1.•11C-11 <br /> Scott Coggins, of Planwor(s introduced hi -elf to the Commission and continued with an <br /> interview of each member requesting their'nput for ideas on the kind of growth and <br /> development the Village is hoping to achie e. Ideas mentioned included: revision of the <br /> Master Plan to include growth strategy; fill •owntown Business Park before increasing <br /> business use areas; fill a%ailable lots befo e developing more: develop plan for controlled <br /> growth; balance economic base with busin-ss: market the community to business. <br /> Increasing the tax base was discussed, Jo es indicated the"biggest bang"comes from <br /> light manufacturing. Baxter encouraged •mmission members to read a recent article in <br /> Municipality Magazine ind cating results:fr.m a recent study showed commercial growth <br /> may not be the best fiscal plan for a comm nity. Butler believes the interchange at Hwy N <br /> and Interstate 94 is the only one with no d;velopment between Madison and Milwaukee, <br /> and should be better utiliz mi.
