TOWN OF COTTAGE GROVE <br /> REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING <br /> JULY 6, 1998 <br /> I. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Skaar at 8:00 P.M. Members present: <br /> Steve Anders, Rick Griffin, Silvin Kurt, Gene Skaar. <br /> II. Minutes of Previous Meetings: MOTION by Kurt/Anders to approve minutes of Public <br /> Hearings for Non-Metallic Mining Permits and Liquor Licenses and Regular Board <br /> Meeting on June 15, 1998. MOTION CARRIED. Supervisor Griffin read minutes of <br /> Special Board Meeting at Schadel Road on June 26, 1998. MOTION by Kurt/Griffin to <br /> approve those minutes. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> III. Finance Report: MOTION by Griffin/Kurt to approve payment of bills corresponding to <br /> checks 2744-2807 except checks 2771 and 2786-2790 which were voided. MOTION <br /> CARRIED. MOTION by Kurt/Skaar to accept net worth statement at$479,835.00. <br /> MOTION CARRIED. MOTION by Griffm/Kurt to approve payment of per diems and <br /> chairman's salary for 2nd quarter. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> IV. Public Concerns: None <br /> V. Plan Committee Recommendations: <br /> A. Donald Viney— Schadel Rd. —Zone change Al-EX to R1A for 6.8 acres for 3 single- <br /> family homesite lots. MOTION by Griffm/Anders to hold zone change request in <br /> abeyance for 90 days. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> B. Yahara Materials Inc. —(Obert Ofsthun Owner)—C.U.P. for 15 acres zoned Al-EX— <br /> Approval for quarry on 15 acres at NE quadrant of"new"Hwy 12 & 18 and CTH <br /> "N". Supervisor Anders reported that PC recommended approval for period of Hwy <br /> 12 & 18 project only with reclamation complete by July, 1999. MOTION by <br /> Griffm/Kurt to approve C.U.P. for both Non-Metallic Mining and Blasting with PC <br /> recommendations. MOTION CARRIED. MOTION by Kurt/Griffin to approve <br /> hours of operation as 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Monday-Friday and 6:00 A.M. to 2:00 <br /> P.M. on Saturday. MOTION CARRIED. MOTION by Kurt/Griffin for Yahara to <br /> provide liability policy for$1,000,000 for blasting. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> MOTION by Griffm/Kurt for Yahara to provide reclamation bond for $50,000. <br /> MOTION CARRIED. <br /> C. Michael & Shanon Sperle (Greg Hellickson Owner)—2174 Hwy 12 & 18 —Zone <br /> Change Al-EX to R1A as personal home for daughter (employee of farm). <br /> MOTION by Kurt/Griffin to approve site zone change from Al-EX to R1A for up to <br /> 2 acres and driveway extension for Sperle. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> VI. Viney Property—No Action taken. <br /> VII. Dane County Petition#7270—Bradt Farms: MOTION by Kurt/Griffin to recommend C- <br /> 1 zoning with allowable uses of retail sales, clubhouse and private clubs and <br /> organizations and apartment for resident manager or residential caretaker. In the future, <br /> if county has any questions regarding this property, please be very specific with requests <br /> and concerns. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> VIII. Bid for Emergency Building: MOTION by Griffin/Kurt to award contract to Joe Daniels <br /> with the following stipulations: <br />
