Some sites may require new landscaping, or <br /> even new buildings , in case the spill resulted in a <br /> fire or other environmental damage . Company <br /> supervision must be contacted to determine the <br /> appropriate level of restoration. <br /> • TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL - The spilled substance, and <br /> any soils or other materials that it may have <br /> contaminated, have to be disposed of properly. Call an <br /> emergency response contact person for specific <br /> directions on disposal . <br /> - Soils contaminated with gasoline, fuel oil or <br /> asphalt may be shipped to one of the P&D/NEA <br /> asphalt plants that have permits to remediate <br /> contaminated soils . <br /> - Contaminated soils from a spill site at an asphalt <br /> plant or at a quarry may be shipped to a P&D/NEA <br /> asphalt plant permitted for remediation, using P&D, <br /> NEA or ZTI trucks . <br /> - Contaminated soils from other job sites must be <br /> hauled using DNR licensed waste haulers . Call <br /> P&D/NEA/ZTI supervision or the emergency response <br /> contacts for a list of approved waste haulers . <br /> - Materials contaminated with antifreeze or other <br /> hazardous substances, may have to be disposed of at <br /> a hazardous waste facility. <br /> • PERSONAL DECONTAMINATION - Plant operators and any <br /> company personnel who could be involved in an emergency <br /> response situation should be aware of the location of <br /> soaps, cleaners, eyewashes and other decontamination <br /> supplies that may be needed for for personal hygiene <br /> after. <br /> • INCIDENT REPORTING - Complete an Incident Report for <br /> "Property Damage" .
