Quality of life <br /> With the precipitous decline i single family farms in Wisconsin, the expansion <br /> of the Madison metro area south and toward Green Co., the recently expressed <br /> concern regarding unregulated gro th, and the concern about maintenance of the <br /> various small town economies in t e region, several positive factors must be noted <br /> regarding a golf course developm nt of the type proposed. First, it maintains a <br /> managed green space equivalent to that of the farm it replaces, while maintaining the <br /> economic activity on an annual basis equivalent to or greater than the farm. Second, it <br /> maintains habitat for the various species currently on the site. Third, it provides <br /> additional recreational facilities fo the growing population of the region, at no <br /> development expense to the publi coffers. Fourth, seasonal employment for a <br /> number of individuals will be prov ded. Fifth, a well—maintained golf course is a <br /> pleasant sight. <br /> I <br /> I <br /> II <br />
