I discussed this with Mark Lund at
MG&E Engineering and we recommend the following solution.
A separate service to feed the well pump will be provided to service only the well pump.
The service equipment will be post mounted near the transformer (not mounted on the
transformer enclosure and not near any access points) and will include a meter socket
and 100 amp maximum 6 pole distribution panel. Service will be rated at 100 amps,
208/120 volt single phase.
Provisions will need to be made to make the well water accessible to the fire department,
this may include several fire hose connection points on the exterior of the building. This
will be coordinated with the local fire department having jurisdiction.
