TOWN OF VIENNA <br /> Office of the Clerk (608) 846-3800 <br /> 5270 Norway Grove Road <br /> September 9, 1997 <br /> • <br /> Dane County Zoning Division <br /> Room 116 City - County Building <br /> 210 Martin Luther King Jr., Blvd. <br /> Madison, Wisconsin 53709-0001 <br /> Re: Voegeli Zoning Petition # 7031 <br /> Dear Sirs: <br /> The Town of Vienna Board and Plan Commission have review the Voegeli Zoning <br /> Petition # 7031. The Vienna Plan Commission reviewed the petition at their meeting on <br /> August 18 and recommended approval to the town board with the condition that the <br /> remaining portion of the parcel from which this certified survey is divided be deed <br /> restricted to further residential building. The Plan Commission further noted that <br /> approval of this petition would require a variance from the stated Town of Vienna Plan <br /> and that such a variance would not compromise the intent of the town plan and that it <br /> has been granted on f9ch occasion in the past that farm building have been separated <br /> from productive agricultural lands due to their use no longer being of value to the <br /> agricultural operation on those lands. <br /> The Vienna Town Board held a public hearing on Voegeli Petition # 7031 at their Town <br /> Board meeting on September 8, 1997. After review of the petition and after receiving a <br /> positive recommendation from the Town of Vienna Plan Commission the Vienna Town <br /> Board voted three in favor and none opposed to recommend approval of Petition # 7031 <br /> to Dane County. In their recommendation for approval the board asked that the approval <br /> be conditioned on a deed restriction being placed on the remaining portion of the parcel <br /> this certified survey was taken from which would not allow further residential building. <br /> The Board also noted that a variance from the Town Plan was necessary for approval. <br /> The variance requested was to allow farm building to be separated from an existing <br /> agricultural parcel because they no longer were of use for the agricultural operation. This <br /> variance has been granted upon request and upon appropriate deed restrictions being filed <br /> and is not considered to dismiss the intent or purpose of the town plan. <br /> Please grant the requested land division and zoning change as requested after the proper <br /> deed restrictions are recorded.
