The parcel of land selected is immediately south of the existing town hall and currently <br /> zoned exclusively for agriculture. We are applying for a conditional use permit for this land to <br /> permit the governmental use of a fire station. <br /> The current schedule is to begin filling the site sometime in the month of September with <br /> the actual construction of the building beginning later this year. Construction would continue <br /> through the winter with completion scheduled for next spring or early summer. <br /> The site selected is a continuation of the existing land use immediately north of the <br /> proposed site. This site would become part of area that has been used exclusively for <br /> governmental purposes in the past including the town hall, the existing fire station and the town <br /> garage and maintenance facility.
