This proposed commercial re-use of agricultural buildings appears relatively consistent with <br /> adopted policies;however,the C-2 zoning would permit many commercial activities which would be inconsistent <br /> and incompatible at this location. <br /> The relevant county policy is: <br /> Only commercial uses clearly related to or needed to support agricultural production may be permitted <br /> in designated agricultural preservation areas. (Ag-related uses include such activities as grain storage <br /> facilities, implementing sales and service, veterinary clinics, landscaping nurseries and farm co-ops.) <br /> The landscaping/lawn care business appears compatible with this policy. Seasonal rental of farm buildings for <br /> storage can be done with minimal conflict.However, C-2 permits major commercial activities which would be <br /> inconsistent. <br /> Therefore,if the rezoning is granted,there needs to be conditions on the rezoning which: <br /> - limit the uses to the ones requested <br /> - no additional buildings <br /> - no business signs,since this is not intended as a commercial area. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH (septic, etc.) <br /> None <br /> DANE COUNTY HIGHWAY <br /> None <br /> OTHER <br />
