CUP 1310,Dane County,Town of Verona, 2/13/96 <br /> Motion by Salkin/Hendrick to impose the following conditions: <br /> 1. Hauling shall be across Cross Country Road to the Landfill. ; . <br /> 2. Hauling shall be limited to one season in 1995. <br /> 3. There shall be a gradual feathered slope in all detention basins and ponds. No vertical walls. <br /> 4. In regards to dust, the Town Chairperson, if after physically viewing the site, deems that dust is <br /> causing a problem, will have the right to shut the job down until control measures correcting the <br /> problem can be implemented. <br /> 5. Approximately ten acres of land will be opened up for clay extraction at one time. When the excavation <br /> is complete on the first ten acres, the next ten acres will be stripped of topsoil. That topsoil will then be <br /> placed on the first ten acres stripped. This procedure will then be repeated for the following acres. After <br /> the topsoil is replaced, it will be graded and seeded. <br /> 6. Soil erosion control will be required and enforced. Siltation fences shall be constructed as required. <br /> 7. Hours of operation shall be 6:30 am to 5:30 PM. Truck hauling shall be limited to 7:00 am to 4:00 <br /> PM. The intent is that work days shall be Monday through Friday with the exception of an occasional <br /> Saturday for rain make-up. <br /> 8. A good faith effort shall be made to leave several inches of clay on site. Surface of topsoil will be <br /> prepared prior to seeding such that roots could be established. <br /> 9. The land shall be depth in grassland/hay production for an initial five year period to allow soil <br /> structure to become re-established,and to assure no harmful effects to area groundwater. <br /> 10. After this initial period, the reintroduction of a more intense land use such as row-crop agriculture <br /> may be allowed based on soil test results and committee approval. . <br /> 11.The Town of Verona Board will be notified of any requested changes in land use. <br /> 12. Soil testing shall include remapping based on soil borings. In addition, test plots shall be done to <br /> determine yields on the rebuilt soil so future nitrogen can be closely tied to yield expectations. <br /> 13. Groundwater monitoring wills may also be required. <br /> 14.Land use must follow State Standards for nutrients and pesticides currently being set by the UW, <br /> State and Federal agencies.
