s
7/G
To: All Members of the Dane County Zoning Board
From: William J. and Michele A. Keuler
Re: Petition Number 7109, Regarding the John Street Farm in the Town
of Berry.
Date: January 28, 1998
It is our understanding that there are concerns from the board regarding the following issues in
considering our petition to rezone part of the John Street Farm in the Town of Berry:
1. The structuring of the private drive and maintenance agreement.
2. Erosion control.
3. Standards of construction for private driveway.
4. Identification of proposed building envelope for each parcel.
5. Ice Age Trail/Dane County Parks.
We would like to address each one of these items individually, below.
PRIVATE DRIVEWAY/MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT
1. Enclosed, you will find a rough draft of documents that we intend to use
as our private driveway and maintenance agreement. We would hope that
these documents meet with your approval, as the intent behind these
documents is to insure that the County is not burdened with the maintenance
of a private drive, many years down the road.
EROSION CONTROL
2. On January 5, Mark Roffers and Brian Standing met with Willy Keuler at
the subject farm. It was determined that the building sites would not create
any erosion problems from buildings located on steep slopes or drainageways.
ROAD STANDARDS
3. We have obtained and enclosed a copy of the engineering design specifications from the
Town of Berry. We intend to exceed these specifications when building the private drive.
BUILDING ENVELOPES
4. Enclosed is an aerial view map of the subject farm. We have marked on each parcel,
the intended building site.
