WI 53527 <br /> October 6. 1997 <br /> Zoning <br /> Dane County <br /> 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. <br /> Madison.WI 53703 <br /> Re: Rezone 2 acres A-1 Ex to RH-2 <br /> Combine with existing 2.023 acre parcel RH-1 to RH-2 <br /> James and Kathleen Christoph <br /> 2092 Uphoff Road <br /> Town of Cottage Grove <br /> We request a zone change for two acres in the Town of Cottage Grove from A-1Ex to <br /> RH-2.The two acres would be added to our existing parcel of 2.023 acres. To be in <br /> compliance, we also request our current parcel be rezoned from RH-1 to RH-2. This <br /> would not create a new parcel.The resulting parcel would be 4.023 acres zoned RH-2. <br /> We wish to make this change to provide a buffer to the land to our west and to be more <br /> compatible with the larger parcel sizes in our neighborhood. Uphoff Road borders our <br /> parcel on the south and east.The Glacial Drumlin State Trail lies to the north.The west <br /> property line is within 20 feet of our building. <br /> Our neighborhood is undergoing transition. We have the smallest parcel. The 73+ acre <br /> farm from which our parcel was created in 1972 is for sale.The owner wishes to sell us <br /> two acres. From the remaining 71+ acres, he plans to keep eight acres with the house and <br /> farm buildings and to sell the remainder. Since our parcel is in line with the farm <br /> buildings with just a few acres between, our enlarged parcel would be more compatible <br /> with the others. <br /> I have enclosed a check for$165 along with a legal description of the two acre parcel and <br /> a map.We appeared before the Town of Cottage Grove Planning Committee September <br /> 24 and received approval.
