1"ffiwW1 Middleton Community Church
of
r
'; ' 4 .i United Church of Christ
Middleton Community Church,Inc.was organized in 1936
ill-_ 6604 Elmwood Avenue, Middleton, Wisconsin 53562
F9:16 c'i (608) 831-4694
:a►_iCf, The Reverend Joanne Thomson, Pastor
October 27, 1997
Dane County Land Regulation & Records
Room 116
City-County Building
Madison, WI 53709
RE: Conditional Use Permit
To whom it may concern:
As part of our application for a conditional use permit in Dane County, we are submitting
the required information and check for $165 as attachments to this letter. Our proposed use for
the property described in the enclosed legal description is construction of a single-level church
facility of-10,000 square feet and landscaping that includes parking, walks to the facility, and
vegetation. The planned time schedule for development of the site is about 30 months.
This property is well suited for construction of a church facility due to its proximity to
west Madison and the City of Middleton, as well as communities such as Cross Plains, Mt. Horeb,
and Verona. This area presently has few churches and is generally considered to be under served
in this regard. Our site has frontage on Old Sauk Road, which provides easy access to the site
from the Beltline Highway. Also, the size of the site (-11.5 acres) is nearly ideal for developing a
church the size of ours, according to both local and national experts in the development of church
facilities.
We appreciate your consideration of our application. We will be pleased to provide any
additional information you may require.
Sincerely yours,
fbe '
Rev. Joanne Thomson
