4 • 1 <br /> HISTORICAL DOCUMENT <br /> 4 <br /> After careful research into the zoning history of Malagold Kennels , 3953 Hwy <br /> 19 , Deforest, I found facts which shocked, amazed and quite frankly angered <br /> me . Although not a zoning or legal expert by any means , the facts seem clear <br /> and understandable even to the casual observer. This Town of Burke kennel , <br /> owned and operated by Connie Gerstner, has been a source of annoyance to it 's <br /> neighbors for many years . The kennel ' s history is riddled with zoning <br /> improprieties , misrepresentation and perhaps even fraud. Many neighbors , <br /> myself included firmly believe the kennel is in fact illegal and should be <br /> shut down. Here is the chronological history. <br /> Note: All references to A-1 in this document are A-1 Ag District, NOT A-1 <br /> Exclusive Ag District , which does not include Town of Burke . <br /> 05/05/71 * Ms . Gerstner' s attorney requests kennel license from Town of Burke <br /> contingent on acceptable perc of Vivian Dorman property (currently <br /> Malagold) . <br /> * 28 Kennel runs planned. <br /> 05/11/71 * Town Board tours Ms . Gerstner' s Cambridge Kennel . <br /> 06/15/71 * Dorman property passes perc , however sanitary <br /> Sanitary Dept awaiting building permits not issued. <br /> of Burke ISSUED A KENNEL LICENSE pand s20r DOG PTAGS ective owners . Town <br /> 07/09/71 * Dorman property surveyed as 4 . 81 acres including right of way. <br /> 06-07/71 * Vivian Dorman stated she had no wish to sell to a kennel . <br /> 07/30/71 * Property NOT sold to Ms . Gerstner instead deeded to John G. & Mary <br /> A. Strange , husband & wife . <br /> 11/15/71 * John G. Strange gives up property rights to Mary Strange . <br /> 06/15/72 * Build residence . <br /> * Build ILLEGAL KENNEL. <br /> * Both permits name John & Mary Strange even though John no longer <br /> has rights to the property. <br /> * SANITARY PERMIT issued suitable for 3 bedroom residence . <br /> * SANITARY PERMIT issued suitable for 30 DOG CAPACITY. <br /> 10/10/73 * Ms .
