Minutes ZNR Committee MAY 27, 1997 Page 1 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE DANE COUNTY ZONING AND NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE HELD ON MAY 27, 1997 PRESENT: Anderson,Hendrick,Kesterson, Van Deurzen,McCormick, Cornwell Absent: Salkin ALSO: Smiley, Scribner, Gregorius, Sidling, Serra CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by James Van Deurzen at 7:30 PM in room 201 City-County Building. IL APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Motion by Kesterson/Anderson to amend the minutes of the May 20, 1997 Zoning and Natural Resources Committee to delete the following item: 8.That Danco FS be limited to two dawn to dusk lights and that they be shrouded to direct light down and that it be replaced with the wording that"Danco FS shall have motion detector lights on the subject site";carried 6-0. Motion by KestersonMcCormick to approve the amended May 20, 1997 minutes;carried 6-0. III. PUBLIC COMMENT: Mr. Jim Mueller addressed the committee with respect to reactivating the ZNR Advisory Committee, that the subdivision subcommitte invite individuals from the Small Scale Waste Management group and/or individuals from the Department of Commerce,discuss issues relating to the denial of the Town of Middleton Plats. IV. PUBLIC HEARING FOR REZONE AND CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT APPLICATIONS AND ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS: 1. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT# 1423 by Habitat for Humanity of Dane County,Inc. to allow professional office space on property located at 1022 Fiedler Lane in part of the NW 1/4 SW 1/4 Section 35,Town of Madison. IN FAVOR:Bill Arnold OPPOSED: None STAFF: RPC TOWN: Town has approved with conditions. Motion by Hendrick/McCormick to impose the following conditions: 1. Contingent upon State approved plans for the structure. Motion carried 6-0. Motion by Hendrick/McCormick to find that the standards of the zoning ordinance are met and to approve the Conditional Use Permit as conditioned;carried 6-0. 2. PETITION#6908 by Andrew Ballweg to change the zoning from A-1 EX Exclusive Agricultural to RH-2 Rural Homes on property located South of 10214 USH 14 in part of the N 1/2 NE 1/4 Section 22,Town of Black Earth. IN FAVOR:None OPPOSED: None STAFF: RPC TOWN: Town has approved with no conditions. Motion by Hendrick/Kesterson to approve;carried 6-0.
