Minutes ZNR Committee MAY 27, 1997 Page 1 <br /> MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE DANE COUNTY <br /> ZONING AND NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE <br /> HELD ON MAY 27, 1997 <br /> PRESENT: Anderson,Hendrick,Kesterson, Van Deurzen,McCormick, Cornwell <br /> Absent: Salkin <br /> ALSO: Smiley, Scribner, Gregorius, Sidling, Serra <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> The meeting was called to order by James Van Deurzen at 7:30 PM in room 201 City-County Building. <br /> IL APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br /> Motion by Kesterson/Anderson to amend the minutes of the May 20, 1997 Zoning and Natural Resources <br /> Committee to delete the following item: 8.That Danco FS be limited to two dawn to dusk lights and that they <br /> be shrouded to direct light down and that it be replaced with the wording that"Danco FS shall have motion <br /> detector lights on the subject site";carried 6-0. <br /> Motion by KestersonMcCormick to approve the amended May 20, 1997 minutes;carried 6-0. <br /> III. PUBLIC COMMENT: <br /> Mr. Jim Mueller addressed the committee with respect to reactivating the ZNR Advisory Committee, that the <br /> subdivision subcommitte invite individuals from the Small Scale Waste Management group and/or individuals <br /> from the Department of Commerce,discuss issues relating to the denial of the Town of Middleton Plats. <br /> IV. PUBLIC HEARING FOR REZONE AND CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br /> APPLICATIONS AND ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS: <br /> 1. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT# 1423 by Habitat for Humanity of Dane County,Inc. to allow professional <br /> office space on property located at 1022 Fiedler Lane in part of the NW 1/4 SW 1/4 Section 35,Town of Madison. <br /> IN FAVOR:Bill Arnold <br /> OPPOSED: None <br /> STAFF: RPC <br /> TOWN: Town has approved with conditions. <br /> Motion by Hendrick/McCormick to impose the following conditions: <br /> 1. Contingent upon State approved plans for the structure. <br /> Motion carried 6-0. <br /> Motion by Hendrick/McCormick to find that the standards of the zoning ordinance are met and to <br /> approve the Conditional Use Permit as conditioned;carried 6-0. <br /> 2. PETITION#6908 by Andrew Ballweg to change the zoning from A-1 EX Exclusive Agricultural to RH-2 <br /> Rural Homes on property located South of 10214 USH 14 in part of the N 1/2 NE 1/4 Section 22,Town of Black <br /> Earth. <br /> IN FAVOR:None <br /> OPPOSED: None <br /> STAFF: RPC <br /> TOWN: Town has approved with no conditions. <br /> Motion by Hendrick/Kesterson to approve;carried 6-0. <br />
