RECEIVED !
MAY 2 21997
May 21, 1997
C PLANNING&OEVELU `J,'
, ; C ikVY RECORDS
Dane County Planning and Development
Zoning Division
Room 116, City-County Bldg.
Madison, WI 53709
RE: Zoning Petition #6912 CUP#1427
Applicant: Virgil Kippley
Hearing Date: May 27, 1997
Change: From the A-1 EX Exclusive Agricultural to the A-2(4) Agricultural
Proposed Use: Separate the residence and the farm buildings from the farm with
UNLIMITED livestock
To Whom It May Concern:
Due to a prior commitment we are unable to attend this hearing but wish to voice our feelings
regarding this proposal.
The one word in this proposal that has us concerned is "UNLIMITED". Does this mean that
any amount of livestock may be placed on the 5.3 acres in question? If so, we do not feel this
would be a positive move. 5.3 acres is not a lot of land when considering its use for livestock.
This amount of land cannot support an "unlimited" number of animals. There are sanitation
problems to consider as well as the well-being of the animals placed in this limited acreage.
Because of these concerns, we are against this proposal. •
Thank you for taking the time to consider our viewpoint.
Respectfully submitted,
o / v
42 i(Aao(d)
William and Monica Hellenbrand
7302, Hwy. 12
Sauk City, Wisconsin 53583
Phone - 608-643-3152
