TOWN OF VIENNA
Office of the Clerk (608) 846-3800
5270 Norway Grove Rood
May 1,1, 1997
Dane County Zoning Division
City-County Building, Room 116
210 Martin Luther King Jr., Blvd.
Madison, Wisconsin 53709-0001
Re: Regarding Zoning Petition // 6919
Dear Sirs:
The Vienna Town Board met on May 5th, 1997. One item on the agenda for
consideration was a recommendation on Zoning Petition N 6919 submitted by Delbert
Schulz to allow a land division for the purpose of building a house.
The Vienna Town Board received a recommendation in support of the zoning change
request from the town plan committee. After a review of the petition the Vienna Board
voted three in favor and none opposed to support zoning change !f 6919.
In their action the board found that the request did meet the Town of Vienna Plan, which
allows the owner of a property which was owned prior to the adoption of the Town
I and division- Subdivision Ordinance ( 12/27/74) to divide the property once for
building another residence For himself and sell or separate the existing residence.
Another grandfathered provision allows that same right to separate for children of the
owner prior to 12/27/74... but is not effected in this petition.
We received a copy of the findings of the Dane County Regional Planning Dept. which
suggested that this petition did not meet the Vienna Town Plan, but expect their findings
were without the knowledge that this particular parcel was governed by an exception to
the Vienna Town Plan. We therefore ask that Dane County grant Zoning Petition 0 6919
as requested. Please contact me if you have additional questions.
Sincerely,
Robert Pulvermacher
Vienna Town Clerk
cc: Vienna Town Board & flan Committee
Mr. Delbert Schutz
