cc: Roxbury Zoning Committee (John Appleyard)
Ferry Bluff Eagle Council(Jeb Baizen)
Re: Potential Development of Edgar Walch Property
To whom it may concern;
As a collection of concerned and interested neighbors (Friends of Clifton) and adjacent
land owners we are addressing the governing committees of the Town of Roxbury in
person and following with this document.
The following issues and concerns are being publicly stated to the Town of Roxbury
Zoning Committee (Chairperson John Appleyard).
* That we (Friends of Clifton) would follow our public address with this letter
stating that we are concurrent with the Ferry Bluff Eagle Council's wishes to
maintain the described land(Reible proposal)near or adjacent to Roundtop for
the purposes of eagle roost habitat preservation.
* That we (Friends of Clifton) would support zoning changes required to
implement the current Reible Proposal as presented to the Town of Roxbury.
* The Reible proposal presented stated that development would follow a "Low
Density" design, not to exceed(10) Ten homes total.
* That Zoning and Development be consistent with agreements constructed
between Ferry Bluff Eagle Council and lawful owner/s of the Walch property.
* We (Friends of Cliffton) ask the Town of Roxbury to be compliant with all
Dane County Zoning ordinance parameters and that requested changes to the
presented Reible Proposal be procedurally followed(e.g.; neighbor
notification)before any zoning or development plan changes be approved or
implemented.
Summary We (Friends of Clifton) recognize this "Eagle" sensitive habitat
as a prime winter roosting area and actively support preservation
by controlled development of the Walch property.
Gene Unger
(Friends of Clifton) Acting Spokesperson
Phone: 608-643-8901
