Residents of Observatory Rd <br /> Telephone 608-798-4166 <br /> 4160&4166 Observatory Road <br /> Cross Plains,WI 53528 <br /> RE: Zoning Petition#6984 <br /> Hearing Date:8/26/97-Item #7 <br /> Cross Plains Section 16 <br /> Change: from the A-1 EX Exclusive Agricultural to the RH-2 Rural Homes <br /> and RH-3 Rural Homes <br /> As residents of Observatory Road we oppose the request to change the present zoning of <br /> A-1 EX Exclusive Agricultural to the RH-2 &RH-3 Rural Homes which would permit <br /> two or more building sites on this parcel of land. <br /> Presently,this land is zoned agricultural and is a non-buildable site. We would not <br /> oppose changing the zoning of this land into a single parcel building site for the 20 acres. <br /> We believe dividing this parcel into several building sites is contrary to the land use <br /> vision and plan for this rural landscape of Dane County. If this parcel is divided as <br /> proposed, we are concerned about the continued growth and the effects that this will have <br /> on the environment and the ecological system. <br /> We the nearby residents of this parcel ask the Dane County Zoning commission to <br /> support our request to preserve this rural woodland and to limit the residential growth in <br /> this area as already planned by present zoning restricitions. <br /> -ri< <br /> Russell & Teresa 1'acchi • <br /> Paul &Mar a Krantz <br />
